BOXING BOOT CAMP is a combination of high intensity, outdoor training which incorporates different aspects of a boxers program. It is 5 weeks of intense training that will give you serious results.
Boot camp runs for 15 sessions over 5 weeks and is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday @ 6am. It is run completely outdoors (rain hail or shine!). It is designed to give you maximum results in a short period of time, whether that maybe increasing fitness, losing weight, having more energy or reducing stress.
Do I need to be fit to do Boot Camp?
Of course not, that's why you are coming to us. On day one of the course we put all participants through a basic fitness assessment; this will give each individual the opportunity to better their results over the 5 week period. At the end of the course everyone will go through the exact same test so that they can compare the two results.
Who will your instructors be?
The boot camp will be taken Claire Ghabrial. She will also have different trainers from Live Fitness assisting her throughout the camp. All of our instructors are qualified personal trainers with years of experience - both in and out the boxing ring. They are highly motivating individuals who know what it takes to get you fit!
What do I need to bring to each session?
You will need to wear comfortable, light workout gear with appropriate shoes you can run in. Also bring a full water bottle and a small towel for afterwards. As there will be a boxing element to some sessions it is important to always bring your gloves and or wraps. If items do not get used in the session they will be locked securely in one of your trainers cars.
Where are the sessions held?
The first session will be held at the Loftus Recreation Centre for your fitness testing. During that first session you will do the ‘beep test’ plus a punch, push up and sit up test. All the results will be recorded and at the end of the boot camp you will be retested so that you can compare your fitness level increase.
Most sessions will be held at Kings Park, but there will be some sessions during the 5 weeks which will be held at Scarborough beach and Hyde Park.
What will I be doing in a Boot Camp session?
The course is designed to challenge you physically & mentally. You will perform activities including but not limited to:
If I miss a session can I make it up in another time?
The Boot Camp program is a 5 week course only, as policy make up sessions are not permitted. If I choose not to continue with the Boot Camp during its course, will I get a refund? Once a course commences there are no refunds.
How long does a session go for?
Each session lasts for an hour.
How many people are in the group?
The group usually has between, 30 to 40 people participating. For groups over 15 two instructors will always be present.
Can I join in part way through the programme?
Unfortunately no, this boot camp runs for only 5 weeks and we ask for total commitment. It wouldn’t be fair to others if people came and went during this period.
Noise & the area we use
Because our programs are held outdoors, sometimes early in the mornings, we make every effort to minimise noise so that other people can enjoy their normal peace and quiet.
