Massage is the most fundamental of all healing techniques. Many studies on massage show conclusively that it reduces stress, alleviates depression, reduces pain and boosts the immune system. Massage therapy is a relaxing treatment that has been around for thousands of years. In fact, the word “massage” comes from the Greek root “masso," which means "to touch".
Many people consider massage therapy to be just about pampering, but it has important health benefits. In fact, you get the greatest benefit when massage therapy is part of your regular wellness routine.

When Should I Not Get Massage Therapy?

What should I wear?
In general most people simply leave on their underwear and then get covered by a towel or sheet. As your therapist will be using oils it is easier and more comfortable in your underwear.
However, you are more than welcome to leave whatever clothing on that you wish. For example if you are only getting your back and shoulders massaged then you may leave you lower garments on.
The room is always temperature controlled so you shouldn’t feel cold or hot.
A spray tan also referred to as a sunless tan has become more and more popular over the last few years and gives your skin a nice healthy glow, lasting from 5 to 10 days.
A spray tan can help hide cellulite, freckles and pigmentation spots making the skin appear more even. Application is with a spray gun and can be applied in a variety of natural shades.
Recommended tips,
Exfoliating your skin before a spray tan is highly recommended. By removing the dead dry skin cells your tan will appear more even and last longer.
Shower before you come for a tan. Most spray tans take time to settle and you may not be able to shower until the next day. You will need to remove any moisturiser, deodorant or sweat from the skin.
Wear lose, dark clothing to your appointment — even go sans bra if you can. Don't wear anything you'd want to risk fake tan ending up on. Remember to take thongs — slipping strappy heels straight back on will only cause patchiness on your feet.
Keep your body moisturised over the next seven days. You can't stop the natural cycle of shedding skin cells, but you can keep your skin hydrated so that patchiness is reduced as your tan fades.
