Mums & Bubs 5 week weight loss program
Mums and Bubs program has been designed to help women 'get out' and participate in an exercise session which they would not normally be able. Most mums struggle with leaving their child - even for an hour, with this class you don't have to.
- A normal session will run for approx 50 minutes and allows for necessary stop/starts with waking and crying babies!!
- The first part of the class will be low impact cardiovascular exercise to get the heart rate up into a fat burning zone. Some basic boxing skills and bag work (no physical contact) will be incorporated.
As we are moving around the room during this section we expect babies to be kept in their prams.
- The second half of the class will be based around toning exercises and strengthening the pelvic floor. As these exercises are ‘floor based’ your child may come down and lay on a blanket near you (if desired).
- All mums must have had their 6 week check up before attending the program. If you had a cesarean it is recommended that you wait 8 weeks before commencement.
- You may participate in our program until you child begins to crawl. Once your child is mobile you will no longer be able to participate.
- Please bring everything that you would usually require for an excursion with your bub! (nappies, milk etc) We recommend that you bring your baby in a pram + a blanket for floor time. If preferred by your baby you may also bring a bouncer or stationary type seating, if you are unsure with any item please call your trainer before commencement.
- For yourself, please bring a towel and drink (water) and wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. We do also ask that you bring a pair of basic boxing gloves to your sessions.
